How to create a pumpkin centerpiece
Make a statement this fall with an eye-catching pumpkin centerpiece. Deceptively simple, a pumpkin centerpiece instantly adds a touch of fall to any tablescape. Plus, what a better way to spend an afternoon then at the pumpkin patch! Inspired by the beautiful pumpkin centerpiece my fellow event host at Alice's Table crafted, I went to the Nicasio Valley Farms Pumpkin Patch this past weekend in search of the perfect pumpkin.
Once you have your pumpkin, you will need a mason jar and your selected flowers. For this pumpkin centerpiece, I visited Paradise Flowers and selected dahlias, veronica, spray roses, dusty miller, and clover. The clover not only adds a pop of color, but adds an interesting textural element to the arrangement.
First carve out your pumpkin removing all of the seeds. For this arrangement, I used the classic english hand-tied method to have more control over the flowers. Then, add the flowers to your mason jar with a little warm water and plant food and place into your pumpkin. Voila, you have a pumpkin centerpiece!
